Efficient Blast freezing
Saving energy and costs with ventilation spacers
Blast freezing food is a very energy intensiv and as such expensive process.
Ventilation spacers are an essential part of a streamlined blast freezing process as these contribute to significant energy savings
Airflow is key
To efficiently use blast freezing, it’s crucial to understand the airflow within your freezing chamber.
Achieving optimal airflow between pallets and box layers in the chamber is key as air naturally takes the path of least resistance – typically flowing around rather than through the pallets.
As this only indirectly will cool/freeze the middle layers of your pallet stacks, the freezing will be unnecessarily long and expensive.
High air-flow = efficiency
The unique, 50 mm high and supportive design of the VentiTeq spacers provides minimal air resistance and facilitates as such maximum airflow in your freezing chamber.
Saving energy
Not only reduces the time required to freeze your products, but also enables a lowering of the fan speed. This results in potential energy reductions of as much as 75% - and with that considerable cost savings.
Stable Pallet-Stacks
The combination of thin, unevenly filled boxes and irregular products often leads to uneven box layers and thus unstable pallet stacks. A rigid spacer can absorb unevenness and thus create more stable pallet stacks.
As with most products, there are also big differences in spacer designs.
Minimal air resistance and support of your box layers are two crucial factors.
VentiTeq spacers allow higher air flow and therefore facilitate a noticable more efficient freezing process.
How do spacers enhance the blast-freezing process?
By inserting spacers between Inserting spacers between your box layers enables the air to extract heat from the center of your pallet stacks, improving airflow throughout the entire freezing chamber.
